Our farming philosophy is about a lifestyle. A lifestyle supported by nature and a lifestyle that supports nature.

It is a typical spring day at Big Horn Ranch. The Oak and Beech tree covered hilltop is just allowing the promising April sun to crest. A feeding rainbow  trout ripples the mirror like surface of our porchside pond. The gobble of a wild turkey competes with the honking duet from a pair of wild Canada Geese pitching into the beaver pond across the field. As I lace on my workboots for the day, I am ever reminded of our dependence upon nature’s order and our responsibility to protect it.

Tucked in a fold of the Alleghany Mountains in north western Pennsylvania is our homestead paradise.  The  whispering Canadian Hemlocks, and fragrant ancient White Pines shade our home and filter our springwater.  The crystal clear spring water nourishes our home , family and livestock.
